Land acknowledgement

Laurentis respectfully acknowledges that the lands on which it operates are within the traditional and treaty territory of Indigenous Nations and communities across Canada. The company honours the longstanding stewardship, knowledge, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis Peoples.

Laurentis affirms its responsibility to uphold respectful and enduring relationships with Indigenous communities. This commitment is reflected in ongoing efforts to integrate reconciliation into all areas of the organization through inclusive partnerships and sustained, meaningful action.

Reconciliation Action Plan

In 2024, Laurentis introduced its first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) – a framework designed to advance reconciliation through relationships, inclusive economic opportunities, and increase Indigenous participation in the workforce. Laurentis has now delivered on all of its outlined commitments for 2024 and 2025, and is now working in close collaboration with Indigenous partners, communities, advisors, and employees to renew and expand the plan.

As a living document, the RAP will continue to evolve alongside the company’s reconciliation journey, with a focus on increasing cultural awareness, strengthening relationships, and creating shared value for Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities alike.

Powering Reconciliation Fund

The Powering Reconciliation Fund was established in response to a key commitment outlined in Laurentis’s first Reconciliation Action Plan. Through this fund, a percentage of the company’s annual charitable giving is directed to Indigenous-led charities, Indigenous-owned philanthropic organizations, and Indigenous capacity-building organizations at both at the national and community levels.

The fund supports organizations and programs that work toward reconciliation and address the ongoing legacy of the Residential School system.
